Founded several decades ago, Jacques Remy et Fils is one of the leading wholesalers of fresh and pre-packaged fruits and vegetables in Belgium, with operations extending to Luxembourg and northern France. The company is recognized for its logistical efficiency, quality customer service, and ability to handle large volumes of goods in a demanding sector.
Leurs besoins
Jacques Remy wanted an integrated management tool to cover key processes, including customer order management through a webshop and a fast order-taking tool at the point of sale.
They also wanted management of sales cash registers, supplier orders, and master data for items. Incoming and outgoing logistics management, order dispatching, and picking via drag-and-drop were also priorities, as well as managing truck deliveries.
Finally, they wanted to manage employee schedules and time tracking, accounting, operational and management reporting, as well as employee administration (contact details, leave, attendance, etc.).
La solution
In close collaboration with the JACQUES REMY teams, Idealis Consulting redesigned and integrated the processes.
Specifically, we installed and enhanced several applications with custom developments. The Odoo solution offers all the functionalities of the previous system along with relevant new features. The previous system had been developed over more than 20 years, and our team replaced it within 18 months (considering that during this period, new features were still being delivered on the old system).
Additionally, we expanded the range of Odoo applications with new customized modules such as the order dispatching and picking tool featuring a drag-and-drop interface; management of truck deliveries and employee scheduling; integration of Smart Analytics for advanced operational and management reporting; as well as real-time views of sales (tracking order preparation progress) and purchases (monitoring receipts); finally, simplified consignment management including credit notes and customer invoicing.

The results achieved include productivity gains thanks to reduced processing time, task automation, and a decrease in manual errors.
There is also improved management of inventory, sales, customized orders, and staff.
The company benefits from greater autonomy and increased flexibility to support its growth. Decision-making is facilitated through interactive dashboards and relevant key performance indicators (KPIs).
